I am a journalist and photo journalist

I never thought about being a journalist at the beginning. Studying communication studies in community college, I dreamt to be a public relations manager in the future. But when I transferred in college, someone told me that public interest and journalism major would be a "good choice" for being a public relation specialist. And that's how I got started with journalism.

I started to get more involved with the community since then. Throughout the process of listening to different stories and capturing every single precious moments of the community, I started to understand the value of being a journalist. Every word I wrote has strong impact to an individual, a certain group, or even the whole community.

I am currently focusing on writing about the AAPI community and women's right. By writing stories about these non-dominant communities, I hope these stories could be spread to more people in the world and understand that they are not alone.

What I can do for you

Being fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and intermediate level of Korean, it is definitely easier for me to cover different topics about the AAPI community. I am more than happy to voice out about the needs and share about the ongoings in the community.
